Carl Brown

Carl Aaron Brown, 62, passed away at the Utah Valley Hospital in Provo, Utah on September 9, 2023 after battling a rare blood disorder known as Erdheim-Chester Disease. Carl was born on February 17, 1961 to Phillip and Shirley Brown in Mesa, Arizona. He was their eleventh child out of fifteen and their youngest boy. He worked hard as a boy on their family farm and became a well accomplished wrestler. After graduating from Mountain View High School, Carl served a Latter-Day Saint mission in Argentina, Buenos Aries South. Upon returning home from his mission, Carl studied accounting and business at Mesa Community College and Arizona State University before he transferred to Brigham Young University. There, Carl met his wife, Eleisa and they married in the Salt Lake Temple in 1986. Carl started his career working at Sun Valley Waterbeds where he soon he became the store manager. He continued his career and became a successful salesman at RC Willey Home Furnishings. In 1994, Carl and Eleisa moved to Springville, Utah. A year later, Carl decided to act on his ambitions of becoming his own boss and he worked with his brother, Flint, to open The Getaway (a furniture store) in Payson, UT in October of 1995. Carl ran it as a family business with his wife and children until the day he passed. Carl was known for his values of hard work, service to others, the importance of family and dedication to his faith. He thrived in telling stories. His family and friends will dearly miss his blue eyes and his defining laugh. Carl was predeceased by his parents Phillip and Shirley, his brother, Flint, his sister, Julia and his son, Matthew. Carl leaves behind his wife, Eleisa; his children, Michael, Erica (Curtis), Steven (Emilia), and Aaron; his grandchildren, Phillip, Lydia, Thomas, Theo, Roman, Lucia and Portland. He also leaves behind many loving sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends. Memorial services will be held Saturday, September 16, 2023 at 2:00 PM at the Hobble Creek West Stake Center located at 555 S Averett Avenue, Springville, Utah with a viewing from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM. Internment will be held at Evergreen Cemetery located at 1997 S 400 E, Springville, Utah at 3:15 PM. The family is appreciative of all the love and support during this time.
