Blake Dee Taylor passed away on June 24, 2019 in Payson, Utah surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 10, 1953 in Salem, Utah to Clifton and Mildred Taylor. He graduated from Spanish Fork High School and Utah Technical College, earning a certification as a Sheet Metal Journeyman. He spent his career in the HVAC industry. He worked for the Sheet Metal Workers Union for many years where he made many cherished lifelong friends. He then started his own company, Taylor Sheet Metal where he worked until his death. Blake was a master at his trade.
Blake's biggest love besides his wife, children and extended family was his guitar and spending time camping in the beloved mountains surrounding his home. Blake was a 'pond town man' at heart having been raised in Salem, Utah. He gained so many friends whom he loved and that had such an impact on his life. He likewise influenced them with his kind and loving heart.
He loved his nieces and nephews like his own children and was best friends with his 2 brothers and his sweet sister. The last thing he told his children was to always be kind. He taught them by example this principal. There wasn't a single person that Blake met that he didn't love and always tried to make them feel special and that they were his best friend.
Blake is survived by his loving wife, Melanie Wilson Taylor, his children Chad W. Taylor, Natalie Taylor (Jeremy Boss) Shane B. Taylor (Nachelle) and Lindsey Cook along with his bonus son, Davies Clarke. His sister, Linda Mortenson, Kent Taylor (Sue) and Deloy Taylor. He also leaves his cherished 13 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifton and Mildred Taylor and Shirley and Grace Wilson, grandson Brantley Taylor, brother in-law Bart Mortenson and his precious nephew Nicholas Taylor.
Services will include a viewing on Sunday, June 30 between 6-8pm at the Payson LDS South Stake Center 711 South 600 East in Payson, Utah. Funeral is Monday, July 1, 2019 at 12:00 with a viewing prior to the service from 10:30 - 11:45 am at the same location. He will be interred at the Payson, Utah Cemetery.
