It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Aspen Marie Norton of Highland, Utah. On May 10, 2024, at the age of 26 years, Aspen died peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on August 5, 1997, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Oak Norton III and Kathlene Norton, Aspen was a beacon of light and hope to everyone she met. She attended local schools and pursued higher education at Utah Valley University. Known for her compassionate spirit, Aspen devoted her life to caring for others, touching the lives of many with her kindness and empathy.
Aspen's passion for music and her ability to create soul-stirring melodies will be remembered by all who were fortunate to hear her play. A devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, she cherished discussing the gospel and found profound joy in serving others. Her remarkable dedication to volunteering on suicide hotlines led her to help over 200 individuals in crisis, always placing the needs of others above her own.
Aspen leaves behind her parents, Oak and Kathlene Norton; her siblings, Savanna (29), Willow (24), Holly (21), and Oak IV (17), along with countless friends and community members whose lives she touched.
A viewing will be held from 9:00 am to 10:30 am at the Day Meadows chapel on Friday, May 17th, with a celebration of Aspen’s life to follow at 11:00 am at the same location, 6050 Chapel Drive, Highland, Utah. For those unable to attend in person, the services will be available via live stream at https://zoom.us/j/91848381932.
In memory of Aspen and in lieu of flowers, her family asks that you extend a hand of kindness to those in need, be a listening ear, and offer a shoulder to cry on, continuing Aspen’s legacy of love and compassion.
We are profoundly grateful for the outpouring of love and concern during this difficult time and invite you to join us in celebrating a life beautifully lived and a soul eternally cherished.A memorial website has been created at https://AspenNorton.com.
