Anna Konkol

January 25, 1915 — October 26, 2013

Our beautiful, fun-loving and active mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend passed away on October 26th surrounded by her family and friends.

Anna graduated Wasatch High as Salutatorian, graduated from Stevens Henager Business College. She worked as a legal secretary and retired after 21 years of service at Hill Air Force Base as a Head Procurement Officer.

She married Enoch Leroy Tripp on July 22, 1938 in Lima, Montana. Soon after, they moved with their three children to San Diego, CA. The events of World War II prompted Leroy to enlist in the Army and he was soon sent overseas. On November 20th, 1944, he was killed in action leaving Anna with three little children. She worked at the airplane factory in San Diego. She met and married Floyd K. Petersen and moved to Chochranton, PA where they had three more children. Anna ran a 100 acre farm lots of animals and a huge orchard and garden. She taught her six children by example. She leaves her family with a rich legacy of hard work and caring for her family, friends and neighbors.

She loved to play as hard as she worked. Her favorite hobbies were, dancing, swimming, golfing, skiing, camping, traveling, reading, and playing cards. She taught all of her grandkids how to golf, ski and enjoy a live of activity. Anytime her grandkids ski or golf, they will always remember and appreciate the great times they had with grandma Anna. Her spunk and spirit will always be remembered.

She lived with her daughter and son-in-law for seven years and recently went to live at the Maple Mountain Assisted Living Center where she loved and greatly appreciated all of her friends and caregivers. She especially loved Jerry Peck for his many acts of kindness and loving care.

I am so sorry for your loss. May "the God of all comfort" (2 Corinthians 1:3,4) comfort and soothe your heart. His promises, found in the Holy Scriptures, can offer much hope. It assures us at John 5:28,29 that our loved ones will be remembered and brought back to life in the resurrection. Please allow God's Word to strengthen you and help you to endure this most difficult time.
