Obituary for Robert "Bob" Dailey

Robert “Bob” Dale Dailey of Payson, Utah peacefully passed away on March 8, 2018. Bob, the son of Millard and Thelma Dailey, was born in Crookston, Minnesota on July 29, 1938. He grew up in Red Lake Falls, Minnesota along with his older brother George, and his most beloved sister, Vivian Seltman. He attended Lafayette High School, and upon graduation attended Bemidji State University.

Bob moved to Washington State where he worked at Longview Fibre for thirty-six years, during which time he was promoted to box plant manager, he retired in 2003. His kind heart and easy-going manner resulted in him being respected and loved by those who worked for him.

He married his wife, Sondra, on December 21, 1991. Bob and Sondra resided in Longview, Washington and upon his retirement moved to Payson, Utah in 2003.

Throughout his life Bob has enjoyed various activities, such as baseball, white-water rafting, golfing, and fishing. He will be most remembered for his love of woodcarving, and the endless joy it brought him.

Bob’s ultimate joy came when he was surrounded by his cherished friends and family. He is survived by his wife, Sondra Redden Shreve Dailey, sister Vivian Seltman, brother George Dailey, daughters Debbie Brock (Roger), Linda Sitton (Mike), Victoria, and Delaina Crone (Joe), sons Allen Dailey (Christy) and Rob Dailey (Celeste), stepsons Ernie Shreve and Mike Shreve, his children’s spouses, 20 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and many friends.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 10:00 am, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 586 West 1750 South, Payson, Utah.
