The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Christopher Whittaker can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

The lighting of a Memorial Candle not only provides a gesture of sympathy and support to the immediate family during their time of need but also provides the gift of extending the Book of Memories for future generations.

Chris my hero, my friend

It was such a privilege to be next door neighbors to the Whittakers for several years.  Chris was the first one to help me with anything that I needed.  The whole family would take turns mowing the yard and trimming.  Chris was always coming over to ensure that the job was done and that it was done well.  If I was lifting something he thought was too heavy he would run right over and take care of it.  He very much was a teacher and excellent example to his family.

Another memory will be the many cars he took from wrecked to new looking cars.  I always thought how does he get the energy to work every day from early morning and then come home and work on the cars until late at night, yet never did I see him work on Sunday.

I knew he had a strong testimony of the gospel and loved his family.  He will always be a strong example to me of what the Lord said "Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

My heart is aching for you Jenn, Wesley, Michael and Jessica and I pray that you will have comfort attend you now and in the days ahead.  He loves you each very much and will be near you in spirit.
